Stranger Maids is a podcast that will explore different narratives of migrant domestic workers in Malaysia. We aim to share stories and awareness to the general public. Our podcast team consists of four women who are curious ourselves about telling the stories of domestic helpers in our homes.

Why migrant domestic workers?

We observed and believe that not many people have discussed critically on this community among our society. Therefore, we were curious as to what entails in the journey of exploring their stories.

We have five episodes in total, all of which will tell different stories about domestic workers that will change your way of thinking towards their community.

We hope that all of our listeners can gain new knowledge and perspectives about issues related to migrant domestic workers. We hope to lessen the public bias against domestic workers by showing another reality that the public may not have heard of. Our purpose is also to create awareness among the society regarding domestic workers and be able to make more informed decisions, and at the same time lessen societal problems related to migrant domestic workers.
